Review of The Marine (2006) by Mat R — 27 Jul 2009
I just want to say World Wrestling Entertainment should never make movies all together. If you ask why? Just watch this movie, and then you'll know what I'm talking about. It's horrible.
Ok so the plot is pretty simple. John Triton's wife is taken by some bad guys and he has to go get them. But before this happens, the intro consists of John Cena randomly killing some terrorists. This is one of the worst scenes of the movie because it's shot so ackawardly and poorly. Nevermind, I don't wanna get into that, but the plot itself is just too basic for this film to be any entertaining.
The acting in this movie is a mess. Everyone did a horrible job in this film, but that's no suprise because a wrestler is your main character. Robert Patrick is horrible in this movie, and his lines are delivered so poorly, it's really hard to pay attention when he's talking.
So cinematography wise this movie is literally stupid. So many explosions that are filmed are completely unessecary. One particular scene that I'd like to point out is when Robert Patrick blows up the police vehicle and the explosion is WAY too big and WAY too cliche. Stuff like that really isn't needed, and is just stupid.
I mean this movie from beginning to end is just miserable. Everything about it is either stupid or just all around terrible. A mess of a film.
