Review of The Marine (2006) by Morgan M — 04 Nov 2012
Superb production team got some 3rd class action movie script in their hand to improve it (but they failed). Yes: Movie have super picture (photography, scenery, action, stunts... superb). STORY: Not bad actualy. DIRECTING: Preposterous.
One of the best marine, who can handle half of Al-Kaida camp by himself, is then smacked down by anyone who comes across and have spare minute. He get hit with fire extinguisher (at force probably internal scull fracture happend) - he walks. Than wooden beam, then few explosion, than colission with the truck...
ALl action was made superb. If that movie would be show real for the studio, it would be superb. Even actors are good looking. Dialogs are sometimes funny. But all that killings are far fetched, with no real meaning. Than in another moment when it would be expected to kill (wife); they take her. And the most preposterous action is finale.
It could be great action movie.
