Tobe Hopper gets his chance to do Stephen King justice. Honestly I feel that Hopper should have staid with the type of horror that suit him better. Maniacs who swing big chainsaws around or a coked up Dennis Hopper swinging a big chainsaw around.
Robert Englund is more of a novelty in this movie. His make up is even more ridiculous than it is in "A NIghtmare on Elm Street" at least he looked scary in his burnt face. Here he looks like a old Popeye.
Ted Levine (Captain Leland Stottlemeyer) plays a angry police officer again (Getting typecast much?). Theres some good gore in here but nothing you need to run to the videostore to see.
