Review of The Manchurian Candidate (2004) by Rodney H — 03 Aug 2008
A decent enough remake, even if it sometimes feels and looks a bit cheesy and dated just four years later. It really doesn't hold up too well against the original except for Liev Schreiber who I find an interesting and fun performer, the kind of actor you enjoy seeing poping up in any film.
Some of the "twists" to the original are interesting, but it doesn't really make the film that much better.
