Interesting and I thought Denzel was great as a down on his luck guy (seems he plays a lot of these?) but in the end, I wasn't overly entertained and felt kind of miserable. On the other hand, maybe I was supposed to feel miserable? At least it wasn't total misery and had a few bits of silver lining.

I thought Liev was really flat and empty in this the first time I watched it. Now that I have seen him in Defiance, I appreciate him more. Meryl Streep was great for adding to the misery of this movie (I think that's supposed to be a good thing, but she was too poisonous for me overall. She reminded me of a democrat's idea of a republican Hillary Clinton.).
