Review of The Manchurian Candidate (2004) by David A — 27 Jun 2018
A very, unbelievable political thriller. I haven't seen the classic version of this remake, but I hope it's not as absurd as this. Who knows? Maybe this is how Donald Trump won the election... By using mind-controlling chips to sway people.
"The Manchurian Candidate" is a wannabe, 1990s thriller that fails to bring any suspense or realism into the fray. Denzel, Streep, and Liev Schreiber were good on their roles, but they were used poorly. I had a few unintentional laughs though. I guess that's a good thing?
