Review of The Manchurian Candidate (1962) by Joshua B — 08 Jan 2009
Less than spectacular, though Angela Lansbury's performance is stunning. Similarly impressed by Sinata, but thought the story lacked dynamism. Flashbacks to brainwashing scenes most compelling part of movie.
Loved when the US troops addressed their captors as if they were a ladies' gardening club. Still, the relationships seemed shallow and I didn't hurt when characters died. I can't recommend it.
