Review of The Manchurian Candidate (1962) by Gary S — 02 Mar 2009
Considering it came out just before the JFK assassination (and all the associated conspiracy theories) it was quite ahead of its time. Felt sorry for Staff Sergeant Shaw in that although he was not a very likeable person he had been manipulated by his ratbag mother and ended up by saving the day.
Bit slow moving in places.
