Review of The Manchurian Candidate (1962) by Robert I — 31 Dec 2012
Exceptional political thriller with surreal elements and stylish shots added; extraordinary performances, an intelligent and controversial plot brought in a refreshing manner, a tremendous cast... You cannot ask for something better from Frankenheimer in his best days. No wonder that even some James Bond films and Tarantino (especially in Kill Bill) borrowed some interesting technical aspects from this misunderstood portrayal of what was by then a shocking, true possibility,.
98/100.
