Review of The Man Without a Past (2002) by Yago C — 05 Oct 2007
Amazing, joyful movie. I can't remember the last time I saw a movie set in a city without any conventional buildings: all corrugated shacks, and run down cantinas. And in this setting, the protagonist, who has lost his memory after a beating, succeeds in making a life so joyful that even given the option of returning to his middle class life, he goes back.
it's patient and subtly written, for sure, but totally absorbing.
