Review of The Man Without a Past (2002) by Jim R — 24 May 2008
Kaurismaki definitely has a unique and specific approach to movie making, and his films are quite raw. A raw look at Finland is kind of interesting in and of itself, and if you get a good story at the same time, all the better.
This movie somehow was interesting and simplistic and boring at the same time as the story vacillated between drawing you in and feeling like you are watching a movie.
