Review of The Man with Two Brains (1983) by Bill T — 11 Nov 2007
Although time has been relatively unkind to this movie (Steve Martin DOES get annoying after a little while) this movie still has a lot of yocks in it. Martin plays a brilliant brain surgeon who marries, what he believes, the love of his life.
She's only out for his money, though. During all of this he falls in love with a brain in a laboratory that suddenly starts speaking to him. All of this is somewhat done in that wild and crazy style that really makes no sense, but it's still funny nevertheless.
I like the Douglas Sirk flourishes they put into the movie too, but I'm too sure if that was intentional or not..
