Review of The Man with the Iron Fists (2012) by Roland T — 08 Aug 2013
There's something there but doesn't quite come together. It would seem that RZA has made an intricate fantasy world, but characterazation git lost along the way. They are more cariactures than actual characters and that hurts the film.
The fights scenes who;e knetic are over the top a little too so. They seem to lack the grace of actual asian cinema. Ots close but there is something missing. The soundtrack to the film is the best thing here.
In short with so many other choices out there for martial arts mayhem , this one can be left alone. See onstead Hero, Curse of the Golden Flower, House of Flying Daggers, or 5 Deadly Venoms.
