Review of The Man with the Iron Fists (2012) by Susie B — 03 Mar 2013
Whatever joy I may have gotten out of the goofy carnage and campy narration had already started to dissipate after the first ten minutes. A film like this may have fared better in more capable hands, RZA fails as a director and as an actor here.
Thankfully we've got the likes of Russel Crow and Lucy Liu, but unfortunately that is not nearly enough. The story is incomprehensible, and the vast majority of the acting is dreadful, so what else is there but the stylish bloody action? As I said.
. the slicing and dicing wears out it's welcome well into the first act. Oh and of course the soundtrack is horrible, but to each his own in terms of personal taste.
