Review of The Man with the Iron Fists (2012) by Al D — 03 Apr 2013
I really loved that the RZA stepped both in front and behind the camera to channel his true love for chop sockies onto the big screen. As has been quite evident by his music, he is an aficionado of the martial arts.
From that aspect, his directing debut here isn't half bad and certainly respectable. There's plenty of CGI and violence, sprinkled with some brothel scenes. It's just too bad he couldn't successfully emulate some of the Asian Samurai masterpieces he was inspired by.
Eli Roth's contribution might have helped or damaged this film.
