Review of The Man with the Iron Fists (2012) by Eddie F — 10 May 2013
A beneficiary of forming friendships from his time scoring/sountracking the Kill Bill series with Tarintino and acting with Crow on American Gangter with Russell Crowe helped RZA get this project off the ground which served as his own "passion project" for the Kung Fu films of the 70's, in this case the sub genre of gore-fu focusing around the theft of a gold shipment through the small town a blacksmith has taken refuge in, and the ramification it has on seemingly disparate peoples.
Doesn't add anything special although it is fun to watch but I can help but think even with the distance that RZA was riding Tarintinos coattails on this one since he was recycled a number of cast members from Kill Bill and even the House of Blue Leaves set for the Bath House sequences.
Escapists fun but a little late on the early 2000 martial arts craze.
