Review of The Man with the Golden Gun (1974) by Daniel W — 08 Apr 2011
Roger Moore, who's charm and humor usually define his performances, plays it effectively cool in this fun but uneven installment of the James Bond franchise. On the plus side, a strong lead performance, an unforgettable henchman in the diminutive Nick Nack, and lots of masculine bravado.
On the negative side, an underutilized performance from the chilling Christopher Lee, and one of the most vapid Bond girls in Britt Ekland's Mary Goodnight. A standardly watchable espionage caper.
