Review of The Man with the Golden Gun (1974) by Patrick L — 06 Sep 2008
Ian Fleming's last Bond story is a good one. Bond faces his equal, Francisco Scaramanga, in The Man with the Golden Gun. Roger Moore's second go-around is a good one again. Besides a masterfully done job on Christopher Lee's part (who plays Scaramanga), this one features some nice gadgets, an awesome car chase with a legendary stunt, and two beautiful women (especially Britt Ekland).
It's a tad slow at times, but the action sequences make up for it - particularly the end one, which had me on my seat from the beginning of it to its clever ending. Probably could've done without the comic relief of Sheriff J.
W., who is back from the last movie. A good Bond film overall.
