Review of The Man with the Golden Gun (1974) by Ashwin N — 28 Feb 2011
The villain has a disorienting funhouse he kills people in. It made me realize something, and I decided the attraction of 007 films is that they are to males what Alice in Wonderland and Labyrinth are to girls.
This has a beautiful Proustian John Barry score that illustrates the maze and the little bursts of seeming triumph over the obstacles that bolster up confidence for the next round.
