It's not too hard to see why TMWTGG is one of the more ridiculed Bond adventures - bland story, rampant stupidity (the carplane, the sumo ambush, Scaramanga's funhouse o'death), anticlimatic ending (a game of hide and seek followed by a comedy battle against a bottle-throwing midget), iffy characters (Scaramanga - wasted, Goodnight - stereotypical useless female sidekick, Nick Nack - WTF) - but as is always the case with Roger Moore's Bond tenure (with the exception of the genuinely dull For Your Eyes Only), I find the over the top, self-deprecating charm irresistible.

If you want "classic" Bond, go watch Connery, if you want serious Bond, go watch Dalton or Craig, if you want flat out fun Bond, Moore's your man.
