Review of The Man with the Golden Gun (1974) by Troy F — 10 Jun 2012
Not sure why many critics bashed on this one! It's not one of the better films surely but I also like this more than a few of the other films too, and it's good as far as "Moore" Bond outings go.
I feel Roger Moore impresses in his second outing as James Bond, still convincing us that he makes for a good Bond considering the difficulty of matching up to the legendary Sean Connery. Christopher Lee was a decent villain too, though I'll say the Bond girl here is one of the lousiest in the whole series! It's a bit goofy at times I agree, especially bringing the redneck sheriff back for a few scenes (god is he annoying after a while!), but there's nothing stopping me from saying I really like this Bond film.
