Review of The Man with the Golden Gun (1974) by Matt G — 30 May 2011

This IS a decent addition to the Bond series. It has an fairly interesting Bond and this time we can see a slightly unperfected Bond, which is good compared to TMWTGG, who is a crack shot and undermines Bond a few times whil showing off his island. People say this film is uninspired, I think its not the best but certainly needs credit. Moore gives off a good acting and although there are some silly parts, can be enjoyed on an ironic level of humour gags witty entertainment. This film in not all places does not take it self to seriously but it has to be fitting with the times of release, and for all who say it's just plain stupid look at the cultural factors that influence it. Also Moore interpretation of Bond is effective for entertainment he looks physically camibale and give some truly wonderfull one liners.
