Following Roger Moore's successful 007 debut in Live and Let Die, EON productions quickly green lit the next James Bond adventure. Released in 1974, The Man with the Golden Gun is an exotic, light hearted entry into the 007 series that effectively confirmed Roger Moore's status as James Bond.

Despite an outstanding and charismatic performance from Christopher Lee as the million-dollar assassin Francisco Scaramanga, The Man with the Golden Gun is a critically panned 007 movie. Nonetheless, Roger Moore's second 007 outing is a humorous and outlandish escapade that set the tone for the further 007 films of the seventies.
