Review of The Man with the Golden Gun (1974) by Andre B — 09 May 2013
The Man With The Golden Gun is no doubt my favourite Bond film. It may be silly, have a mediocre plot, and rip off Asian martial art films, but man is this film a fun ride. Scaramanga is definitely my favourite Bond villain, not only because he's played by the great Christopher Lee, but because his evil plan is actually centered around Bond himself, which is really interesting.
Moore is great in this one, and although Britt Ekland is abysmal, I did like Maud Adams' performance. Nick Nack is such a fantastic henchman. He is much more interesting than Oddjob or Jaws in my opinion, and really brings a lot to the table.
What a classic it is.
