Review of The Man with the Golden Gun (1974) by Mike H — 22 Nov 2011
Christopher Lee makes one of the better Bond villains, and Roger Moore, as it turns out, makes one of the better Bonds. Sadly, the comic relief -- the return of the hillbilly Sheriff from "Live and Let Die" -- is the portion of the movie that has aged the worst.
"The Man with the Golden Gun" is perhaps above average for a Bond movie. It isn't any sillier than most of the Bonds from this era, and it's entertaining enough to sit through 35 years later.
