Christopher Lee makes one of the better Bond villains, and Roger Moore, as it turns out, makes one of the better Bonds. Sadly, the comic relief -- the return of the hillbilly Sheriff from "Live and Let Die" -- is the portion of the movie that has aged the worst.

"The Man with the Golden Gun" is perhaps above average for a Bond movie. It isn't any sillier than most of the Bonds from this era, and it's entertaining enough to sit through 35 years later.

This review of The Man with the Golden Gun (1974) was written by on 22 Nov 2011.

The Man with the Golden Gun has generally received mixed reviews.
