Review of The Man with the Golden Gun (1974) by Thomas P — 15 Oct 2015
Great stunts and action sequences, decent light-hearted humor throughout, along w a brooding villain all come together to float this Bond installment along just fine. It's flaws are only noticeable when compared to other Bond movies, but this one holds its own.
Tongue-in-cheek flair, did-i-just-see-that stunts, and Herve Villechaize willing to smirk along here also - famed of course as Tattoo from the TV show Fantasy Island.
Plenty to like.
Watch it on DVD and enjoy the cast interviews from 2000, and a featurette on all Bond movie stunts from the stunt guys themselves - fascinating and worth the price of the dvd.
4 out of 5.
(I have an extra half point for the dvd extras).
