Review of The Man Who Would Be King (1975) by Dan D — 25 May 2008
This is an example of what every movie should inspire to be: Epic but not rambling, magnificent but not over the top, striking a balance between humor and drama, and of course, having Michael Caine and Sean Connery in it.
It's a great example of how movies aren't made anymore, it's an indefinable quality so I don't press me for how it's different, it just has to be experienced and you'll know what I mean.
This might be my favorite movie ever, and no one ever seems to know about this movie when it deserves to be up with those epic classics like the Godfather, so watch this! I'm tired of being the only person who's seen it.
