Review of The Man Who Would Be King (1975) by Kenneth D — 17 Jun 2008
One of the greatest adventure films ever made. I would argue that this was Huston's last truly great film (Only "The Maltese Falcon" and "The Treasure of the Sierra Madre" are better).
Connery and Caine are brilliant in their roles. This may be Connery's greatest by the way. Plummer is good as the young writer R. Kipling, who is being told this story by an "interesting" sort of fellow.
Definately worth watching by all as it is amazingly good fun - great for a movie night!
