Review of The Man Who Would Be King (1975) by Jeff B — 12 Jan 2009
Great John Huston film starring Sean Connery and Michael Caine as two spirited adventurers who want to become rich and famous by conquering a foreign country. The film starts out a bit slow, but it really picks up when the reach the first village.
Caine and Connery are great together, they work so well off each other. Very entertaining and the score is great. And the scenery is wonderful, all the great landscapes and villages, it's really cool.
Nice adventure story, but I just wish it picked up a bit during the first 30 minutes or so.
