T works as a fun adventure, a statement on hubris, and a comic critique of imperialism. The film's successes are largely due to the winning performances by Sean Connery and Michael Caine, but Huston shows that he's quite capable of directing an epic-style picture.
It didn't sweep me off my feet, but it was a pretty good time and I have no complaints.
