Review of The Man Who Would Be King (1975) by Andrew W — 02 Apr 2010
Sean Connery and Michael Caine. If you have a movie starring both of those actors it's bound to become a classic, or at least a movie everyone has heard of right? Wrong. Iknow of only 4 people who have even seen or heard of this movie, one of them being myself. And I believe this is one of the greatest crimes in the history of film. To put it simply, this is one of the best films ever made. I really don't want to give to much of this movie away, because I know no one reading this review has seen it, but I will give a basic synopsis:
This film tells the story of Daniel Dravot and Peachy Carnahan, two ex-soldiers in India when it was under British rule. They decide that the country is too small for them, so they head off to Kafiristan in order to become Kings in their own right.
The only thing left for me to say is WATCH THIS MOVIE!
