Revisited on BRD.
From a story written in 1888, retold here in 1975, one might wonder how much & what kind of comedy was originally intended? Has 21st century tech ( and recent history ) driven this film further into caricature ? Regardless, Caine and Connery make a fine pair of rounders.
Saeed Jaffrey as Billy Fish is a delight - little wonder Jaffrey has appeared in a gazillion movies.
