Brilliant casting and acting in this Nor-Cal set Cohen Brothers masterpiece. Does Crane have a lit cigarette in EVERY single scene? I think he does. What's even better is that his "dialog" almost doesn't exist.
I love the misery and depression set against the abundance of the post-war "boom." You can see why they chose Gandolfini for the Sopranos after watching this...
