Review of The Man Who Wasn't There (2001) by Nathan C — 13 Mar 2008
All Coen Brothers films are fatalistic, but this one perhaps more than most. Mournful and taciturn at the same time, with a brilliant central performance. I hadn't seen this since it was in the theater and, upon rewatching, still think it's an odd, underrated gem.
I love the ending. I love the Beethoven sonatas included.
