Review of The Man Who Wasn't There (2001) by Sandra K — 19 Nov 2009
"As I was going up the stairs.
I saw a man who wasn't there.
He wasn't there again today.
I wish, I wish, he'd stay away." - one of my favorite songs, which from was the title taken.
This is an excellent film noir with classical & simple but nevertheless interesting plot. There's, of course, obscure humor as we are used to be in Coen Bros. movies. Great grey shadows on Thornton's emotionless face really showed him as a man who wasn't there. I truly enjoyed watching this one over and over again.
