Review of The Man Who Sued God (2001) by Helen S — 08 Feb 2007
With the exception of possibly Indecent Proposal, it's refreshing to see Billy Connolly act in a movie as himself. A majority of his parts are miles away from his stand up personality so I was intrigued to find out what this would be like.
The film's okay, there are a few plot holes and the script sucks a bit in a couple of places but in general it has an overwhelmingly good vibe to it. Connolly is funny in a couple of places and does a good job as the humble, homely down to earth fisherman.
Not perfect by any means but I can certainly say I've seen a lot worse.
