Review of The Man Who Sued God (2001) by Jd T — 31 Aug 2008
Billy Connolly and Judy Davis prove to be a charming couple in this insurance trial piece. I found this to be quite insightful. After Billy's character's boat is struck by lightning and destroyed, the insurance fails to pay based on an "act of God.
" I liked how this took my mind and soul to different places. It's not a side-splitting comedy (and doesn't try to be). It is a plot about people and their feelings for each other and a courtroom battle of wits.
Ultimately, a good film for a lazy afternoon. These two talented actors did a fine job with a solid script.
