Review of The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance (1962) by Charles D — 09 Sep 2007
One of the best acted Westerns I know, with wonderful turns from Wayne, Stewart, and Miles. Conventional wisdom is the movie is as much about the end of the Western as a genre as it is about the end of lawlessness in the West and the rise of modernity -- an interpretation that feels right to me.
