Review of The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance (1962) by Jared S — 02 Dec 2007
One of the absolute classic Westerns, it does not go for the home-spun corn of others, but strong performances from the leading cast members. The grit of the Old West is aptly delivered as it melds with the coming of a new, more civilized era.
The difference in classic types - Stewart and Wayne, against the pure malevolence of Lee Marvin is simply great to watch.
