Review of The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance (1962) by Zoran S — 28 Jun 2011
A perfect film. Without flaw. It's richly stylized and full of Ford's striking compositions. And like a lot of late Ford, it's a melancholy, pessimistic film. Progress isn't idealized and the Old-West isn't pictured as a bastion of libertarian freedom.
