Review of The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance (1962) by Terry W — 16 May 2011
Stone Cold Classic. Hadn't seen it in years, and even then, it wasn't the whole way through. Directed by the legendary John Ford, this is the story of Ransom Stoddard (James Stewart), Tom Doniphan (John Wayne) and Hallie (Vera Miles) as told via a flashback from Stoddard as an old man. It features one of the most spectacular supporting casts, including: Lee Marvin, Edmund O'Brien, John Carradine, Lee Van Cleef, Strother Martin, and Denver Pyle.
This is a famous enough movie I'm not going to summarize it, suffice to say it still remains relevant today, and like nearly all John Ford movies, stands the test of time.
