While the acting is good, there's virtually no chemistry between Dev Patel and Jeremy Irons, though that'd be difficult to do when the dialogue is pretty bland. On the surface it has a good message, but too much time isn't focused on pounding it home, instead too much time is spent on the main character's illness.
