This is a sobering tale, based on a true story. It highlights racist thoughts and depicts bullying by some students at the private school Ramanujan finds himself at. Its less about bullying and more about acceptance I suppose, on different levels, mainly intellectually but not necessarily entirely.

I found it frustrating how close minded some people were, even though this was set around about, or slightly over, 100 years ago. It is perhaps a thought provoking watch - its certainly nice to see those who go against others and support him, seeing his talent for what it was.

Its an interesting biopic with a good central performance from Dev Patel, as well as supporting roles by Stephen Fry and Toby Jones, among others.
