Review of The Man Who Invented Christmas (2017) by Mark M — 23 Nov 2017
Wonderfully recreates the warm feel great vintage holiday movies gave us. The viewer is transported in the best sense - you are fully immersed in 1840s London as well as in Dicken's mind. Well-drawn characters come to life in vivid performances.
100% non-ironic, non-sarcastic, non-stupid moviemaking...and yeah, the world can use some. Not a crash, gun, or building explosion. Feel-good moviemaking (though not without its dark shadows) that ends warm and uplifting.
Excellent wide-age-range entertainment that grabs your imagination and leaves you feeling good.
