Review of The Man Who Invented Christmas (2017) by Galvy F — 05 Dec 2017
This movie was a joyful romp through the world of Charles Dickens. The best movie ever? No. A wonderful Christmas movie? ABSOLUTELY! It was warm, touching, and funny, with cheesy little Easter Eggs here and there for those who actually read Dickens (Businesses named Spenlow and Brownlow will stand out.
) Dan Stevens is absolutely magnetic, and the supporting cast are as real, yet big and vibrant as any character in a Dickens novel. This film is a sweet love letter, and something that could very well be a holiday classic.
I can't wait to have it in my collection.
