Interesting how this divides people. Some find it confusing and l think the original editing has to take the blame. For me this sags a bit in the middle but that is my only serious complaint. At its heart is a doomed love affair but there is more to the movie than this.
There is a kind of resolution but l am sure it's central message has more truth than the Disney-esquire ET.
