Review of The Man Who Cried (2000) by Rachel K — 12 Aug 2006
Although, The Man Who Cried does have some very classy costumes and breathtaking set pieces, I felt it wore on 20 minutes too long and it was too slow moving for me. Johnny Depp is a great actor but seemed uncomfortable in character, and also didn't appear to be very convincing.
Despite the fantastic cast and dramatic costumes, The Man Who Cried was an overly long movie that does a better job of boring viewers rather than telling a historical story.
