Review of The Man Who Cried (2000) by Chelsea K — 12 Apr 2010
A slow, simple, historical drama that moves the heart. Dialogue is kept to a minimum in many scenes, and the emotional mood is fairly constant. Not a lot of ups to balance the downs, but that's her story.
Cate Blanchett got some recognition for her supporting role, and Johnny Depp is usually underrated, but while I like Christina Ricci, this film might have been improved by a different actress in the lead.
Definately worth watching.
