Review of The Man in the Moon (1991) by Forever N Luv W — 28 Jul 2010
I'm surprised this movie isn't more well-known, because it's really good. "The Man in the Moon" is both a family drama and a really sweet romance story. I think this was Reese Witherspoon's first film role, because she is SO young in this.
She did a great job though. The movie also stars Jason London of "Dazed and Confused". I absolutely love him in this. Had I been a young teenager when this movie came out instead of just a few months old, I would have totally been in love with Jason London back in 1991.
The subject matter is nothing new, but the movie is just so well acted, written and directed that I couldn't help but love it. "The Man in the Moon" is quite sad at times, but is ultimately a great movie about young love and about family.
