'The Man in the Iron Mask' replaces historical fact with some more crowd pleasing elements. This fantastic tale could have taken a more serious route, but out of excelent judgement it is sold as a hugely fun swashbuckeling blockbuster.
The cast is brilliant, but many found the casting of DiCaprio, questionable, he really really does give a perfectly suited performance, it's not in the league of his work on 'Blood Diamond' but it's perfectly suited to the film.
In short, 'The Man in the Iron Mask' is no masterpeice, but it's a hell of allot of fun.
